Splice

Splice

Couldn't finish it.  Life is good and I can handle watching a train wreck once in awhile, but this one took too long to happen.  Okay, so the 2 lead doctors (Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley) are about to have the direction they want their research to go get shut down in order for the company that funds them to get a quick guaranteed payout from something they have already created but that the 2 doc's find boring.  Okay, so what do we do...?  Oh yeah, we put it all in jeapordy and splice the DNA of roots, animals, and a HUMAN into something that flies out and looks like a chiglett (Chick + Piglett).

As the chiglett grows, it starts to look more like a mutated upright walking plucked chicken.  If this were something that could be bred, the legs on the things would be the rage at KFC for drumstick lovers.  It gets more and more human but still way too strange to be mistaken as one.  It gets carted around in a box once in awhile to hide it from the eyes of nonunderstaning NORMAL MORAL people and all.  After a bit, all I could see going down was the thing having to be killed or it killing someone or whatever and it just got a bit too much to sit there and look at.  Sarah Polley was perfect in the role....I hated her.  Pass on this one.
